Mid April 2010 was helled the Varanger Arctic Kite Enduro, way above the Arctic Circle, in the region of Finnmark, northern Norway.
According to its organizators, it is "the longest and hardest snowkiting race in the world"...

We went out there to check it out.. along with 15 teams of 2, racing for 3 days, pulling our pulkas with food and camping gears. Our GPS showed 175km at the finish line, after crossing amazing landscapes over the Varanger Plateau.

If you want to know more about this extreme kiting race, you can visit our blog, where we give our views of this race, through stories, photos, and videos.
