Hi. This is Faro; nearly in front of the airport. It is a nice wave spot with East winds, usually when there is strong Levante in Tarifa and the Strait of Gibraltar. Direction is side-off so take care… although there are several schools nearby with boats in case you need real help. Levante in Faro is an early wind so you should be at the beach in the early morning as most of the times it goes down at noon. The conditions in the video are small/mid wave but if you are lucky enough you can get waves like this….overhead glassy waves with really really long sections.
If you are going to Portugal in spring/summer you should also consider Guincho, which is a serious wave spot with harder conditions and bigger waves usually. Even Carrapateira (near Sagres) is a good choice also with N/NW winds but waves are usually really fast and tricky to surf.
